Boris Zhelezov

1989 – 1998. PhD Student, then research fellow, Assistant Director on Research, Secretary of Academic Council at the Institute of the USA and Canada Studies, Russian Academy of Sciences, in 1994 he participated as a senior researcher at the Program of Post-communist Studies run by King's College .

1998 – 2003. Program Director of projects on cooperation between HEIs in Russia and Abroad.
2004 – 2012. Deputy Vice-Rector on International Cooperation at Higher School of Economics, external expert at the BC "Bridge" project, coordinator of the project "Tunning of Educational Structures in Russian HEIs".
2012 – 2015. Deputy Director of the International Department, Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.
2015 – 2018. Deputy First Vice-Rector of the National Research University Higher School of Economics.
2018 -2020. Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation, Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. At the Ministry his responsibilities covered bilateral and multilateral intergovernmental cooperation and recognition of foreign qualifications.

Boris Zhelezov is an author of numerous publications devoted to worldwide benchmarking of educational policy and management of tertiary education, equity and equality in education, internationalization of universities. Graduated from the Moscow Technical University of Telecommunications and Informatics he was awarded his Candidate of Political Science Degree at the Institute of the USA and Canada Studies, Russian Academy of Sciences in 1994; in 2003 he graduated from the MBA program of the Moscow University of Economics, Statistics and Informatics.
