Pavel Balaban
Speaker
P. Balaban is a specialist in the field of neurophysiological mechanisms of learning and memory, author of 359 publications. Main results concern investigation of mechanisms of cellular and synaptic plasticity of neurons in invertebrate and invertebrate animals, functioning of synapses, neurons and neural networks during learning and development of memory. Last decade the focus of research shifted to investigation of regulation of expression of brain-specific genes with adequate stimuli and epigenetic factors in norm and pathology.
