Gail Carson
Dr Gail Carson (Thomson) is an infectious diseases clinician by training who moved into clinical research 10 years ago to improve the evidence base for the clinical care of hospitalised patients with emerging pathogen infections. She has been involved with the clinical research network ISARIC since its inception in 2011 and a number of other networks e.g. GOARN & GloPID R, covering outbreak preparedness and response. During her talk she will draw from experience with networks spanning 20 years to reflect on what lessons can be learned for now and the future.
