Professor Daniel Neagu is exchange coordinator for the Department of Computer Science, co-director of the Computing Enterprise Centre, and leads the Artificial Intelligence Research (AIRe) Group at the University of Bradford.
The main theme throughout his academic work is to develop models of multidisciplinary knowledge systems by the algorithmic fusion of human expertise and digital information. Building on 25+ years of research and knowledge transfer, Daniel Neagu has notable contributions to research collaborative projects funded by RCUK, European Commission, and industry. Current research focuses on fundamentals of Machine Learning, Big Data Analytics and Responsible AI, and their innovative applications in Product Safety, Automotive Analytics, Social and Health Care, Smart Cities and Social Media.
Daniel Neagu is Associate Editor for Wiley's Expert Systems: The Journal of Knowledge Engineering, independent expert evaluator for EC and national research councils, and sits on international conferences programme committees (UKCI, BCS SGAI, ICMLA, AI4I, EDMA series).
