PhD Researcher, University of Brighton
Ben is a third-year doctoral researcher at the University of Brighton, where his research focusses on the dynamics of palaeo-ice masses. His current research focus is on reconstructing the Fennoscandian Ice Sheet glaciation of the Kola Peninsula and Russian Lapland, northwest Arctic Russia. This reconstruction involves geomorphological mapping of glacial landforms using high-resolution, remotely-sensed satellite imagery, and field-based sedimentary studies. The field research is conducted as part of a UK-Russia collaboration with colleagues from the Kola Science Centre. Ben has also been involved with several UK-Russia collaborations outside of his research, including the ARCTIS2019 and 2020 field courses, and ASPP2021 conference.
